Elise FirestoneLong ago, Elise Firestone traded in her dance shoes for a pair of dumbbells. She started dance lessons at the age of 3 and was a competitive Irish step dancer for 13 years. She also danced tap, ballet, and jazz. The challenges of staying in competitive physical shape lead her to the gym. It was there she discovered her passion for fitness. And thought someday she’d like to compete in a figure competition!
Elise moved to NY and joined a gym where she met Colette Nelson who is an IFBB Pro BodyBuilder and a step class instructor. They became best friends and Colette helped her learn about the fitness industry.
In 2002, she became a Certified Personal Trainer and Aerobics Instructor. She also completed her Esthetician License. Elise lived in NY for several years working in various salons and spas while teaching aerobics and personal training at various gyms.
In 2006, Elise finally ventured into the competitive side of fitness by competing in her first figure competition. It was an amazing experience and it helped her realize what direction to take in the industry.
She started Cosmetic Artistry by Elise this past year after providing makeup and hair services onsite at fitness and bodybuilding shows. Elise loves what she does and feels lucky enough to combine her two favorite passions into one!

Catherine Andersen Catherine Andersen has always been an athlete, for as long as she can remember. Basketball, track, cheerleading, gymnastics; those were her sports of choice. Competing was not a foreign concept to her – it makes up a large part of who she is.
When she was young, her mother remembers Catherine begging her to come and watch her practice cheers or lay-ups with her left hand. See the pattern here? Catherine was a performer. She loved being in front of an audience.
After college, Catherine needed an outlet for her athletic needs and took up weight training, aerobics instruction and became a personal trainer.
Her body took very well to training with weights, but it wasn’t until 2003 that she did any kind of physique competition. She decided to try her hand at bodybuilding and won the WI State Physique Championships. At this point, she was so happy with her results, but was not sure she wanted to hold that much muscle. Funny thing too, the head judge of that show commented to her that even though she had great muscle and symmetry, she would do better in fitness.
In early 2006 though, she heard of a local bodybuilding and figure competition. Catherine and her husband agreed to compete and began training for that show; she was only 9 weeks out and ended up winning the tall class and the overall title! From there, she competed in three national shows in 2006 and again in three national shows in 2007. And as you may already know, Catherine won her third show earning an IFBB Pro card in Figure. What a ride! She now looks forward to kicking it up a notch and bringing her best package to the Pro level in 2008!

Jennifer Searles IFBB Professional Figure competitor Jennifer Searles moved to New York City in August 1999 after graduating from Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, VT. It was there that Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with minor concentrations in Biology and Drama. She is a SAG and AFTRA sanctioned actress with credits such as ABC’s All My Children and various independent films on her extensive resume. Upon arriving in New York, she was quickly introduced to the fitness world as a way to stay in shape for auditions and modeling assignments. It wasn’t long after she began logging hours at the gym that Jennifer’s competitive nature persuaded her to try her luck in a competition. After placing second in her first show, she was forever hooked. She did well with fitness, but nagging injuries forced her to step into the figure arena. Acting went on to take a backseat, as figure took the wheel. In her second national season, Jennifer was able to earn IFBB pro status by winning her class at the 2004 National Figure championships. During her two years on the Pro Figure Circuit, she has competed in 2 IFBB Figure Olympias and placed in the top 10, and also is the holder of the 2006 Motor City Pro Figure Championship Title.
No longer on the competitive stage, she now personal trains and coaches other competitors in figure and fitness. She currently holds 6 certifications through NASM, AFAA, ISSA and EFTI and is in the process of becoming a Registered Dietician and earning her Masters degree in clinical nutrition.

Jessica Rohm A high school Anatomy teacher of 5 years, IFBB fitness pro, Jessica Rohm began competing in fitness in 2002 while still in college at West Virginia University. As a former collegiate gymnast at WVU, she was a 4-year letter winner and 2-time team captain while earning her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Master's degree in Education. In addition to teaching she was the varsity high school gymnastics coach for 4 years and has coached for more than 9 years at gymnastics camps and clinics.
In 2005 she won Class A fitness at NPC Jr. Nationals as well as the overall championships in fitness and figure at the Lehigh Valley and Atlantic States Championships. This past summer she won Class A fitness at Jr. Nationals and earned for pro card by winning her class at Team Universe in July. She is also entering her 3rd year as an New Jersey NPC judge.

Kira Jones Kira Jones is the owner of Vandella Costumes. She has been sewing for 18 years and has been sewing for competitors for at least 8 years, starting out in the exotic dancewear/lingerie field. Her work now is specializing in custom fitting suit and costumes for figure, fitness, bodybuilding & pageant clients in all price ranges. Men's posing suits are custom made in numerous fabrics and colors. They are the least expensive posing suit, they are even available in her ebay store.
